John Cuthbertson lived for the first 18 years of his life in the rural portside town of Burnie, on the north west coast of Tasmania.

Despite a University education, he has thus far avoided being trapped by the corporate jungle and consequently spends much of his free time out-and-about capturing what he sees, on film (although the advent of digital has had obvious implications).

As yet unpublished, in the magazine or newspaper world, John has successfully spent time selling his photography to tourists and locals alike, often through market stalls.

His travels have taken him across Europe, to Spain, France, England, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, as well as to North America, and a large part of the eastern seaboard of Australia, and his home of the island State of Tasmania.
